Στις 13 Οκτωβρίου στις 10:30 το πρωί ένα αυτοκίνητο fiat punto, μαύρου χρώματος και με κρατικές πινακίδες (!) έσερνε το σκυλί της φωτογραφίας δεμένο με σύρμα στον δρόμο Παραποταμου - Ηγουμενίτσας. Στη συνέχεια, ο οδηγός και ο συνοδηγός κατέβηκαν από το αυτοκίνητο και πέταξαν το άτυχο ζώο σε ένα κτήμα δίπλα στον δρόμο, νεκρό.Την επόμενη μέρα έγινε καταγγελία στην Αστυνομία από τον μάρτυρα, παρουσία και του εκπροσώπου του Φιλοζωικού Σωματείου Ηγουμενίτσας.
Η καταγγελία του περιστατικού από τον αυτόπτη μάρτυρα θεωρήθηκε κακούργημα, από τους αστυνομικούς, και η υπόθεση βρίσκεται ήδη στον εισαγγελέα.
